This is how I simplified our humans in the game down to the more expressive and adorable people we eventually called "Nins"
Animated Previz Screen
This animation I created (below all the images) was meant to show off our earliest design ideas and the sense of humor of the game. Also featured a texture based facial animation system I designed.

In game shot with a little bit of painting done over it to suggest visual improvements we wanted to implement at the time.
I was Art Director on a Wii title that didn't end up seeing the light of day. Early on I worked on the look of the world and characters, as well as previz animations for design ideas and tone.
